As you are no doubt aware, the Federal Government announced a reduction in the GST from 6% to 5% effective Tuesday, January 1st. Many of our clients run POS applications which are supported by back office systems. In many cases, the tax rate is set into the system through the back office and has already been addressed by your technical support staff here at Time Business Machines. If you are running one of these systems and require chargeable support with the tax rate change, please call our toll free number at 1-800-661-7333 during regular business hours, and your regular mailbox after hours and we would be happy to address any concerns or procedural issues you have. We will have staff on duty on Tuesday, January 1st. Our emergency service support will continue it’s 365 day a year service.

If you require assistance with completing these instructions, this is available for you as a chargeable call. The rate structure for this support for the tax rate change is as follows:

          Telephone Support - $34.25 for each 15-minute increment (minimum 15-minute charge)

If you wish chargeable support, we would encourage you to contact us during regular business hours - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. - to insure the most prompt service.

Weekend support is also available for this change, however our weekend service is designed for emergency calls only and GST requests will be given a lower priority over clients who have system problems directly effecting their business operations. As a result, we cannot guarantee response time for weekend GST change requests.
